PHOTO SHOOT!!!
04/30/2010 - 21:22

WOW!!! We just got back from a photo shoot in San Antonio and Uvalde, TX. I think we all died and went to heaven eating all that TEX MEX... but it was worth it!! We stayed on this Spanish Style ranch, many thanks to the Morgan family, that was insane and we had the best team working with us. Renee Layher styled us out SON!!!! She somehow managed to grasp each of our styles individually, and make the three of us fit together at the same time. She changed our lives completely!! We adore her and owe SO much to her!! We also the had the rockstar Debbie Dover doin our hair and we have never been so excited!!! She gave us curls, rocker look, braids, pig tails... wow... and then we had Neil Robison doin our make-up... he just got it perfectly with all three of us!! He made us look natural and fresh!! And then Russ Harrington was our photographer... we felt so lucky to be working with someone as talented as he is... him and his team made us feel so comfy to pose in front of the camera... they gave us great direction, and Russ's artistic creativity is inspiring. We can't wait to post the pics so stay tuned!!!! Also check out our dates this summer and come see us!! We want you, we want you!!!

Stealing Angels

Things people always ask us about Stealing Angels :)
03/01/2010 - 17:55

We are three girls living it up in music city baby! We live together, we eat together, we write together, shop together, work out together... it's surprising we haven't killed each other. People ask us all the time- do ya'll actually LIKE each other? Well all three of us are proud to say that he honest answer is YES. We are gonna answer a couple questions people ask us so ya'll can get to know us a little better... Keep the questions coming!!! We love hearing from you. Hope to see you out on the road!! Check out our dates to see if we are playing near YOU. xx

HOW DID YA'LL MEET?
Caroline and Jennifer knew each other from mutual friends in Nashville... they were approached to do a reality TV show together, and a producer brought in Tayla. We all hit it off!! We are thinking they thought, "these girls will never get along- it will be great TV full of drama!" Well we ended up falling in love and forming a trio. Go figure!!

WHO IS THE LEADER OF THE GROUP?
Well Tayla would say Tayla, Jennifer would say Jennifer, and Caroline would say Caroline. Can you imagine that?? :)

DO STEALING ANGELS WRITE THEIR OWN SONGS?
YES!! We all write together almost every day... mostly we write about what's going on in our life at the time... it's sort of fun to look at the timeline of songs- hearing songs can always take you right back to what you were going through at the moment. It's like a taking a picture, but instead we are capturing the moment in a song. It's therapeutic and we definitely take full advantage of that!! Our songs are our diaries.

WHO SINGS LEAD?
We all trade off singing lead, although Jennifer tends to sing high harmony on most of the songs... Tayla's voice is gritty and country and very unique a la Lucinda Williams or her grandmother. Caroline has the big beautiful power house a la Carrie Underwood. She can belt it son!! Jennifer has a soft, sexy, bluegrassy voice a la Allison Krauss. Put them together and you get a melting pot of all sorts of country.

DO YA'LL FIGHT AND IF SO ABOUT WHAT?
Oh yes. We all have our moments. You would think that we would argue about boyfriends, cleaning the house, borrowing clothes... things like that. Surprisingly, we are all pretty gracious and giving with one another- but when it comes to music, man we can get at each other. Especially with songs and songwriting... we all have strong opinions and are all pretty much divas, and so we always want to creatively go different ways. Somehow or another we usually pull it off, but it helps to have a fourth writer in the room, who is unbiased, and checks us when we need it.

HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THE NAME?
Well that's a tough one.. we will probably all tell you alternate stories... it means something different to each one of us.. we would love to hear what the name means to YOU!

WHERE CAN WE SEE THE FAMOUS "BUCKDANCE"?
Come to a show!! With Tayla standing on that stage, you never know what might happen. One thing we do know, is that you will surely be entertained!!!

Fun Facts

*************FUN FACTS ABOUT STEALING ANGELS**************

CAROLINE used to cary a sugar glider in her bra, and she would pull the little critter out during writes- our poor co-writers had to look!! :)

TAYLA makes up languages and they spread like wildfire- her most famous language- adding R's. For example- LOVE is LURV. Sushi is SURSH. STUPID is STURP. Ask her for the complete dictionary!!

JENNIFER travels everywhere with her two chihuahuas- she carries them in purses and no one knows there are dogs inside- until Pokie snores, of course.

CAROLINE likes to walk around the house in her undies. Ooh lala :)

TAYLA the skinniest little minny, is a closest fast food eater- food of choice- chick filet or chicken nuggets from McDonalds.

CAROLINE hates scary movies, but loves CSI.

JENNIFER wears plaid and cowboy boots, but is from Beverly Hills.

TAYLA has her phone with her at all times- if she is not answering, she is screening.

CAROLINE ditzy moments + a terrible memory= We can't believe she's not a natural blonde.

JENNIFER is like listening to a broken record when it comes to boy problems- at least we got some songs son!!!

STEALING ANGELS we always all think we are right, plus we are all divas living under one roof. It makes for a good time!!

Madison Square Garden; STUDIO TIME!
02/04/2010 - 20:43

Well, 2009 was an awesome year for us! We wrapped it up by playing the half time show for the Professional Bull Riding (PBR) at the incredible MADISON SQUARE GARDEN! The arena was sold out with 18,000 + rodeo fans; it was certainly surreal. Being backstage was a moment none of us will ever forget... Seeing all the pictures of the greatest artists in the world on the wall that have played there is just nuts. What an experience.

2010 started off with a bang for us.. We have been writing like crazy, getting ready to go back in the studio with our amazing producer (who also happens to be our manager) Paul Worley. Paul is insane. It has been so cool working with him.. He literally makes "magic" in the studio. So, we are narrowing down the next 5 songs we will cut, come the first of march. CAN'T WAIT! And, we have got to give a shout out to Wally Wilson, the other half of our management team who really keeps this whole thing together... haha, he is the one we call 5 times a day with all of our problems from music issues, style questions (yes, he taps into his inner female), boy worries.. he deals with it all, and we actually think he likes it! lol! We are so grateful for Paul and Wally.

We have started booking tons of summer dates, so we will be posting those ASAP.. we can't wait to get back on the road! We love making and playing music more than anything in the world... Sometimes we have to pinch ourselves that we actually get to live our dream. Thank you all so much for supporting us; the fans we have are amazing...

xoxo

You better not tell us "No"!!!

Good morning!! Just wanted to write a quick note to update you on what's been going on with Stealing Angels...

2009 was a GREAT year for us. We finally got it together and became a "REAL" trio. We were sort of fluttering around it, and concentrating more on our solo careers for the last 3 years. We were all scared to give that up and dive into this unknown world of depending on two other people as much as you depend on yourself. What a scary thought. We were all afraid to lose our identity, when in fact we found it with Stealing Angels. A lot of people said we couldn't do it and didn't believe in it, but for every person who didn't believe, there were 2 people who DID. People like Gary Burr, Victoria Shaw, Anastasia Brown, Jason Deere, Billy Austin, WALLY WILSON, and Paul Worley, to name a few. THANK YOU ALL. We love you and appreciate you SO much.

2009 was a touring year for us. We finally got out there on the road and busted it every weekend. It got tough being in that small van, with three divas, and an entire band- whew. But thanks to our tour manager, Jeremy Witt, who is AWESOME and deserves a medal for what he has put up with, and thanks to our band, we pulled it together and made it through. We graduated to an RV at the end of the year- man that was like REDNECK Christmas for us. I wish ya'll could have seen how excited we were. I'm sure that Tayla was doing the running man or her famous buck dance, Caroline was doing back flips with her gymnast past, and I was really realizing how hillbilly I have become, coming from California.

We really LOVED being on the road- we met so many great people and the fact that we could get our music out to people outside of Nashville felt awesome. We couldn't believe how people embraced us. It was really amazing and I just want to thank every single person who came to one of our shows.

2010 is an exciting year for us. We are going back in the studio to finish our album in March. And then we are getting lucky enough to be able to put out a single!!! We have been writing like crazy and we can't wait to record new songs!!! With songs like "He Better Be Dead", "If I Smoked", "Lord Don't Give Up", "You'll Be back"- we are sure not playing it "safe". Everything we do comes from our heart, and the music is definitely not your typical radio songs- it's a little different. I guess different is always scary in Nashville, but it's also what's been attracting people OUTSIDE of Nashville to our music. So to anyone who says we can't do this or that, because it's outside of the box- well this is where I want to say a naughty word, but I will restrain myself- I will just say I am putting up my middle finger. ;) Thanks to Paul Worley who is not afraid of recording music that has an edge and is a little different, we are getting to live our dream.

So stay tuned everyone, and THANK YOU for supporting us and giving us inspiration and courage to travel down this road. We wouldn't be able to do it without you. ESPECIALLY our best fans Dave and Phil.... we love and adore you. We are just hoping to play for more and more people, and to keep writing songs that we love, and recording them to play for YOU.

Lots of love from your new Hillbilly Californian,

Jennifer Greer Wayne.
